Sony to telecast live Euro, Copa America football live in Telugu – Times of India

HYDERABAD: A football feast awaits the Telugu fans as Sony Pictures Sports Network (SPSN) will be telecasting the forthcoming European and Copa America Championships in the regional language.
The European Championships, featuring 24 top teams and to be held in 11 cities, will kickstart on June 11, 2021. SPSN will telecast Euro live in six languages including English, Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam in Sony Ten 2, Sony Ten 3, Sony 6 and Sony Ten 4 channels as well as SonyLIV.
The live telecast in Telugu will be available in SPSN’s new regional language sports channel, Sony Ten 4, which will be available in Tamil and Telugu languages across the southern region of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
SPSN has also roped in actor Rana Daggubati as the face of the channel and he will also be promoting WWE’s programming in Tamil and Telugu. The Telugu commentators will be Sandeep Kumar B, Sudheer Mahavadi, Joseph Antony and Norman Swaroop Isaac.
The live telecast of Copa América 2021, beginning June 14, will be available in English, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam on Sony Ten 1, Sony Ten 2, Sony 6 and Sony Ten 4 channels.
A total of 10 teams will be vying for top honours in the Copa América 2021 which will feature some of the top stars like Lionel Messi, Neymar Jr, Dani Alves, Gabriel Jesus, Alisson Becker, James Rodriguez, Roberto Firmino, Paolo Dybala, Sergio Aguero and more
There will be “Football Extraaa” hosted by Manas Singh and Arpit Sharma with opinions, insights and analyses provided by former international footballers like Louis Saha, Luis Garcia, Don Hutchison, David James, Terry Phelan, Mark Seagraves, Ashley Westwood and Jofre Mateu along with former India captain Bhaichung Bhutia and current stars such as Indian captain Sunil Chhetri, Gurpreet Singh Sandhu, Sandesh Jhingan and Robin Singh. SPSN will also have Andy Mitten, Adriano Del Monte and Eisha Megan Acton, reporting live from the ground across match venues and taking the viewers closer to the action.
